To provide the best and most widespread services, Lynn and her staff are able to travel anywhere in the continental US. Photo Finish is currently serving clients in Kentucky, New York, Florida, and Ohio. Past and current clients include several Kentucky Derby winners, including 2016 winner Nyquist, Preakness and Belmont Winners, Horses of the Year, including 2017 Horse of the Year Gunrunner and newly crowned TRIPLE CROWN WINNER JUSTIFY.

Photo Finish clientele benefit from our long-standing, positive, relationships with registration departments which allows easy "navigation of the waters" where others may have problems. Lynn Fenton is the only independent horse identifier trained by the US Jockey Club. She has also earned special "horse identifier" status, which allows access to the Jockey Club's select registration programs.
Our History
In 1994, Lynn Fenton started Photo Finish Horse Identification, Inc.

Lynn grew up in Centerville, Ohio on a hunter/jumper farm, showing in the tri-state area. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, she moved to Kentucky and started working at one of the largest veterinary practices in central Kentucky. She then worked at the Jockey Club in the Registration Department for 6 years. There she became the Markings Educator responsible for overseeing the marking recording process, ensuring consistency and accuracy in recorded markings and correct horse identification.

After leaving the Jockey Club, Lynn saw a need for a horse identification service that could help expedite the correct registration of large numbers of foals in the central Kentucky area. Photo Finish Horse Identification grew from there to include multiple breed and federation registries, import and export documentation, and now micro chipping and DNA sampling. Today, the majority of the same clients that started with Lynn back in 1994 are returning customers 22 years later!
